The American Indian Recruitment (AIR) Program is a non-profit 501(c)(3) within the State of California. Our program operates as a volunteer organization where our volunteers mentor our Native High School students towards greater academic performance in school and motivation towards pursuing higher education. Funding for our program provides our program with the requisite income to purchase academic supplies, meals for our students (who come from our rural regions within San Diego County), field trips, and more in an effort to give our students the greatest benefit from our program.
Through donations made to our program we have continued to operate for 20 years and have had over 1500 students from our Native community go through our program with the majority of these students graduating and pursuing higher education.
Today, we see many of our former students participating in leadership positions serving on their Tribal Councils, Tribal Police, Nurses, Teachers, and more. Truly, it is support of your donations, community partners, and our volunteers that have created change for a greater future through our Native Youth and their success.
We thank you for your consideration in funding our program as we believe in creating opportunity for our Native students to reach their greatest potential and establishing the greatest future for our communities.
